1 Set up and System Account
1.1 This online system was set up on 10 June 2011. It has been operated by the Social Workers Registration Board (the Board) to support the continuing professional development (CPD) of registered social workers (RSWs). The Board provides this online system for use by all RSWs and listed organizers of CPD activities (listed organizers).
1.2 RSWs are to use the same set of username and password as that for the Online Registration System. Any changes in the login information for the Online Registration System will be applicable to this system, and changes to username and password in this system alone are not permitted.
1.3 Only online requests to be listed organizers will be considered by the Board. Applicants are to set their own set of username and password in the online form. Access to the system with the pre-set username and password will be allowed once the Board accedes to their requests.
1.4 Users should keep their sets of username and password with due care. When identifying any embezzlement, users should change their passwords as soon as possible.
1.5 The Board reserves the rights to add, suspend, reinstate or remove user accounts as appropriate.
2 Functions
2.1 Members of the general public may browse the contents of the Voluntary Continuing Professional Development Scheme for Registered Social Workers and information of CPD activities uploaded by listed organizers.
2.2 RSWs may achieve the following after logging in:
a) To browse the CPD points entered by listed organizers for their CPD activities completed by the RSWs;
b) To input records of completion of activities not listed on this website;
c) To view and print personal CPD records.
2.3 Listed Organizers may achieve the following after logging in:
a) To upload information of CPD activities or courses for public access; and
b) To input information on RSWs’ completion of CPD activities or courses.
3 Terms and Conditions
3.1 By logging in, users agree to accept and are bound to comply with the terms and conditions set out in this document.
3.2 Users are fully responsible to keep their usernames and passwords safe and in strict confidence.
3.3 No transfer of user account to any other person or entity is allowed.
3.4 Only CPD information related to social work is allowed to be up-loaded to the system.
3.5 No one shall disseminate or publish any texts which may infringe any third party’s intellectual property rights, facilitate crimes, or contain unlawful, threatening, libelous, obscene, harassing, abusive, vulgar, indecent, offensive, or otherwise objectionable materials of any kind or nature.
3.6 While the Board will try its best in keeping the system free from viruses, hackers, faults or defects, users should adopt at their ends appropriately precautionary measures to safeguard their own devices.
3.7 The Board reserves the right at all times to monitor, review, retain or disclose any information on the system and of the user accounts.
3.8 The Board may at any time review and amend the terms and conditions for using this system; unless otherwise stated, any such amendments shall become effective upon publication or users being notified of the same.
4 Termination of Account
4.1 Any persons who cease to be RSWs will no longer be entitled to use the RSW account, and information in the account will be treated according to the Board’s privacy policy.
4.2 Any CPD activity organizers who cease to be listed will no longer be entitled to use the listed organizer account.
4.3 The Board may remove the name of organizers from the list when it notices of any one (or a combination of more than one) of the following:-
a) The listed organizers have failed to upload any social work CPD activities to the system for a period of more than 12 months;
b) The listed organizers have failed to furnish information upon request by the Board for statistics on their CPD activities for RSWs;
c) The listed organizers have failed to observe the terms and conditions as listed organizers.

6 Disclaimer
6.1 The Board shall not be liable to any damages caused by any failure of performance of this system, error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, computer virus, communication line failure, theft or destruction, or unauthorized access to, alteration of, or use of record arising from tortuous behaviour, negligence or any other course of action.
6.2 The Board is not liable to any possible consequence borne by the information on the CPD activities and courses uploaded by listed organizers.
