Users Guidelines

 

A.    RSW Users 

1.    First Login 

a. Login the system with the username and password used in the online registration system.

b. Any changes in the login information for the Online Registration System will be applicable to this system

c. By logging in the system and clicking “Agree”, users agree to accept and are bound to comply with the terms and conditions.

2.    Browsing Information on CPD Activities and Courses 

a. Click “CPD Activities and Courses” to browse the information of CPD activities and courses posted by listed CPD activity organizers.

b. Use the screening tool to select target information. 

3.    Adding New CPD Record 

a. CPD points normally entered by listed CPD activity organizers will be automatically transferred to users’ CPD records after the latter’s completing a CPD activity listed in the system.  Users need not enter such records again.

b. Users may use this function to add new CPD record after completing activities and courses that are not listed in this website.

c. After logging in, click “Add new CPD record”.

d. Input information on completed CPD activities or courses. Click “Submit”.

e. Automatic computation of CPD points based on the category of activity and number of hours is provided in the system.

f.  Users are required to input CPD points for the CPD activities such as “Publication” for which automatic computation is not available.

g. For CPD activities or courses lasting more than one year, users may input gained CPD points by stages. 

Example: 

A social worker enrolls in a two-year course and the study period is from September 2010 to May 2012.  He/She may:

  •  
    • Add a new record at the end of 2010 and input the total study hours for the period from September to December 2010.
    • Add a new record at the end of 2011 and input the total study hours for the period from January to December 2011.
    • Add a new record at the end of the course and input the total study hours for the period from January to May 2012.

4.    Viewing, Editing and Printing of CPD Records 

a. After logging in, click “Viewing, editing and printing of personal CPD records”.

b. Users may view their CPD records and CPD points already accumulated.

c. Click “Update” or “Delete” to edit or delete existing CPD record.

d. Use the screening tool to select target records.

e. Click “print” to print CPD records. 

B.     Listed CPD Activity Organizer Users 

1.      Requesting for Being Listed as CPD Activity Organizer 

a. Click “Request to be listed” on the login page.

b. Input the required information and click “submit”.

c. Type in username and password.  (Remark: The username cannot be changed after the agency or tertiary institution is listed by the Board.)

d. After an agency or tertiary institution is listed by the Board, the Board office will activate the account.

2.    First Login 

By logging in the system and clicking “Agree”, users agree to accept and are bound to comply with the terms and conditions. 

3.    Adding new CPD activities and courses 

a. After logging in, click “Add new CPD activity/course”.

b. Input all required details of activities or courses.  Click “submit”. 

4.   Viewing and editing information on CPD activities and courses 

a. After logging in, click “Viewing and editing CPD activity/course information”.

b. Users may view the activities or courses posted on the system by them.

c. Click “edit” or “delete” to edit or delete the information of activities and courses. 

5.   Input records after RSWs’ completion of CPD activities or courses 

a. It is the duty of listed CPD activity organizers to input CPD records for RSWs after they complete a CPD activity or course.

b. After logging in, click “Input activity/course completion record”.

c. Select the activity or course concerned.

d. Input the completion date and the registration number of the RSWs concerned.  Click “submit”.

e. Users may view the name and registration number of the RSWs and the completion date of activity/course for verification.
