Accreditation Criteria and Procedures for Taiwan Social Work Qualification

The Board will assess the application for registration from applicants holding Taiwan social work degree or diploma conferred by the tertiary institutes recognized by the Taiwan Ministry of Education on individual merits in accordance with the following criteria and procedures:

(1) The curriculum and the number of hours of field work practice must comply with the "Principles, Criteria & Standards for Accrediting Degree & Diploma Programs in Social Work" drawn up by the Board (posted under "Accreditation Criteria" in the homepage).
(2) Applicants must pass one of the three examinations conducted by the Ministry of Examination for social workers in Taiwan. They are: (a) 專門職業及技術人員高等考試社會工作師考試, (b) 特種考試社會工作師考試 and (c) 社會工作師檢覈筆試 .

Applicants should submit their application for registration together with the documentary proof in respect of the above two items, e.g. transcript, prospectus of the program, and/or Certification issued by the tertiary institute, etc.

Applications will be put forward to the Committee on Accreditation and Registration for consideration.
